According to latest discussions, Apple is supposed to launch their newest iPhone either in the month of September or October, 2012. The iPhone 5 was rumored to be released in 2011 but instead Apple released the iPhone 4S and now most of the users are expecting a lot of new technology in the iPhone 5.
This supposedly is going to match last year’s release timing of the iPhone 4S. However, there are various debates over the actual time of release. Last time, during the iPhone 4S, Apple made people wait for 15 months, instead of releasing it as per their summer cycle (as they use to release a new "gadget" almost every summer). So, there are speculations, if Apple is going to follow the new cycle or budge from this too.

It cannot be denied that Apple loves to push boundaries. So, expectations are high with regards to the newer features of iPhone 5. It is expected to have larger displays and thinner structure and also a new form of smaller dock connector than before. It's rumored that the new iPhone 5 that is yet to be released will have a much different design and body than the older versions. A new design was released with the iPhone 4 and it is again going to be released with the iPhone 5. It is expected that the iPhone 5 will have larger speakers and will be 4 inches with a two tone back with brushed aluminium.

The iPhone 5 is expected to have a quad-core processor as the new iPad released this year also has a quad-core processor. It is said that the CPU will be the great S5L8950X. According to a news report, the iPhone 5 is rumored to support the latest and smallest SIM technology.
The greatest expectation that people are talking about is the clear display or rather the transparent display. Depending on the fact that Apple always try to be minimalist in their design, it can be argued that nothing can be minimal than the clear display. The iPhone 5 is expected to have a 4.6 inch retina display and might feature new touch technology.
Other than the sky high expectations about the display, there are some probable expectations too. One is that the display is going to be larger than before, though there is no data to backup this fact. In fact, industry specialists like that of Daniel Ashdown of the technical analysis company Juniper Research, have also suggested that Apple this time may opt to bring on a larger screen than what they have done before. It is also rumored that the screen will be made of curved glass, this is because DigiTime reports that Apple bought 200-300 glass cutting machines.
The price of 16GB iPhone 4S is a hefty $199. The price for the 32GB is $299 and the price for 64GB is $399. So, it is supposedly going to cost people more than iPhone 4S. In addition, people are expecting that the case material may be made out of ‘liquidmetal’. Furthermore, the operating system supposedly is the iOS 6 and the processor is the Dual-core A5X. The mobile network to be used is supposed to be 4G (LTE, HSPA+), and the 32GB/64GB/128GB along with the camera having the high capacity of 8 megapixels.
The iPhone camera sensors are being bought from Sony and it is said that Apple are buying the best sensors for their newest invention. This time Apple manufacturers are saying that the iPhone 5 will have an HD front camera as well.
So, this is what the new iPhone is all about. Nothing more can be said, other than waiting for the newest technology to unfold in front of our eyes.
